Another couple of gems at today’s Warrnambool Independent Traders Market are Leonna Bell and Evelyn O’Keeffe of the Kiwanis Club of Warrnambool.

Leonna and Evelyn are donating their time fundraising for the club, which is celebrating 40 years of serving local children in need in the Warrnambool district.

The club currently has forty one members says Evelyn, and fundraising includes providing parking direction at the Geelong All Ford Day, the annual Orford Vintage Engine Rally And Tractor Pull and through raffles and barbeques.

Currently the club is running a raffle offering four prizes of appliqued patchwork-quilts, collectively valued at over $3,500 and created and donated by residents local to Warrnambool.

At $2 per ticket (or 6 for $10) Evelyn says the funds raised will enable the club to continue to support local children in need in Warrnambool.
Raffle-winners will be drawn on the 3rd of December 2013 at the club’s home base, The Carmichael Room at City Memorial Bows Club in Cramer street, Warrnambool.
